Currently, only Selective Door Unlock and Intelligent Key Lock/Unlock are available as settings in the nav system. The Automatically Lock Doors in Drive setting (my proposed name) is only accesible via an unnecessarily complex set of steps described on page 3-6 of the Owner's Manual: "1. Close all doors; 2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position; 3. Within 20 seconds of performing Step 2, push and hold the power door lock switch to the position (UNLOCK) for more than five seconds; 4. When activated, the hazard indicator will flash twice. When deactivated, the hazard indicator will flash once; 5. The ignition switch must be placed in the OFF and ON position again between each setting change."

It's not logical nor consistent to provide some door locking settings in the nav, while others are only accessible via esoteric and unintuitive hardware procedures hidden in the 520-page Owner's Manual. This is why I recommend conveniently consolidating all door locking preferences on this menu screen.

Also, for convenience, the driver should be given the ability to independently set whether the doors are unlocked immediately any time he/she puts the car in Park, unlocked only after the car's engine has been turned off (while in Park), or not automatically unlocked at all. That is why I recommend adding Automatically Unlock Doors in Park and Only Unlock Once Engine is Off as additional settings. (Obviously, the latter setting wouldn't be available if the former wasn't set to ON.)

Finally, I recommend adding Intelligent Key Auto Lock as a setting. When enabled, this will cause the vehicle doors to automatically lock when the driver first carries his keyfob more than 10 feet away from the car. If the doors had not already been locked, the car would honk once to indicate that the doors had locked automatically.

NOTE: Regarding the Intelligent Key, it currently can roll down all the windows when the driver holds down the unlock button for 3 seconds. I strongly recommend adding the opposite feature – closing the windows (including the sun roof) when the driver holds down the lock button for 3 seconds. This would be an extremely useful feature to have if one's car is outside with the windows down and it begins to rain heavily. Rather than requiring the driver to run out into the pouring rain, turn on the car, and manually close the windows, this feature would allow him/her to conveniently close the windows without getting soaked.
